So if you’re like me and have littles who don’t yet eat candy orrrrr you just simply want other ideas on what to stuff in those yearly Easter eggs, then look no further! Stratton wasn’t even a year old last year so we didn’t do a traditional Easter egg hunt. In excitement for this year, his first official year being able to run around grabbing eggs, I went ahead and started a big list of ideas…an entire year in advance haha
If you have babies younger than one and aren’t even walking yet (that was us last year), you could let them play with some empty eggs, or even let them play with these adorable matching eggs or these egg maracas! And they double as an Easter basket stuffer too, win win!
I will say, I made sure to scoop up a cheap little easter basket that Stratton can use outside and I won’t care if it gets messed up! I make sure to leave his nice wicker one inside during the hunt. The best places to grab a cheap outside basket would be the dollar store, five below, hobby lobby or even target. I grabbed two this year for the boys from target. They are so cute!! You can find the two buckets here and here.
Also, side note, we used Easter baskets last year to announce we were pregnant with George :)
The list below is for a wide range of toddlers! I will say some toys are too tiny for younger toddlers so just inspect the dimensions and sizing that you will need! The key is also to order Easter eggs in multiple different sizes! I ordered some that were 3” all the way up to 6” which gives me so much flexibility on what I can put in them! I also prefer ones that are hinged so the pieces don’t get lost! The ones I ordered are linked here and here!
